At the end of the season it'll be interesting to count how many times we've been called and then canceled ^_^Wednesday afternoon the P-3's were tasked to fly AL94 (the one the GIV was tasked then cx'd). Thursday morning N43 left for NAS JAX for some routine maintenance they were going to do on their way to St. Croix before starting 24 hr operations. Just after they left...both P-3's were cx'd.
N43 will come back to MacDill today and N42 is standing by alongside N49.
AL94 is what is circled as #1 in the above pic. It was forecasted to organize itself a little better, but then forecasted to not organize any more, but is now forecasted to possibly become a TC within the next few days and head to Texas.
At around noon today we get 2 more calls saying that both GIV and P-3's have possible taskings for Sunday if AL94 does organize into something like a Tropical Cyclone.
So will we fly this thing or not? I guess we'll wait and see.
For now it doesn't look like we'll fly any of the other highlighted areas.
FYI
N42 - P-3 - Kermit
N43 - P-3 - Miss Piggy
N49 - GIV - Gonzo
