No flights were scheduled for NOAA to go investigate Bertha. Bertha didn't come close enough to any american interests for us to investigate. I believe the USAF investigated it though.
Today we received word that the G-IV is deploying to investigate a developing low pressure system in the central atlantic. They will leave tomorrow for Barbados and investigate on Wednesday. I haven't heard about whether the P-3's will be going. I will not be joining the G-IV even though I need the flight time, because I am still med down for my back. I'm shooting to be ready to fly again in August.
